Isamac Torres-Figueroa

A lifelong resident of Berks County, I grew up in the southwest side of Reading with my parents, sisters and brother in a small row home where my mother still lives today. I graduated from Reading High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Albright College, a quality educational experience is what I had from elementary school to college graduation.

My husband and I chose to raise our family here in Berks County where the cost of living is affordable, buying our first home was possible, a career path was accessible and its home to my extended family.

Professionally I’ve worked for non-profits managing workforce training programs where I created an ESL for Certified Nurse Aides training curriculum that helped to graduate hundreds of adult learners in Berks, York and Lehigh counties. I was the founder of a program named PODER which stood for People Organized for Democracy, Equity and Responsibility which taught parents and community members the functions of school districts and how schools are funded. From 2009 to 2013, I was an elected official on the Reading School Board of Directors where I worked with other board members to balance a budget as well as work with parent groups to help them navigate the school system.

I was also elected in 2012 and served to 2015 as a state committee person to represent the PA State Democratic party for Berks County. During my time as state committee person, I co-founded the PA Democratic Latino Caucus focused on raising funds and resources for Latino candidates across our commonwealth.

Throughout the last 20 years, I’ve received awards, certificates for my leadership and community service recognizing the work I’ve achieved has impacted our community positively. I serve as a business consultant for Kutztown University’s Small Business Development Center where I coach small business owners with their business.

I am passionate about real estate and enjoy helping my clients reach their real estate goals and fulfill their dreams of homeownership. I am a real estate investor and understand how to work with investor clients and serve their unique needs in this niche.
