As a smaller borough, real estate in Schuylkill Haven consists of mostly single-family homes and multi-family (semi or duplex) properties. However, despite its size, this community offers a wider range of properties on the market in regards to construction date, home/lot size, and location.

The center of Schuylkill Haven, centered on East Main Street, is where the older, historic properties are found. Though construction dates vary, a lot of the homes in this area were built around the turn of the century, primarily between the years of 1910 and 1920. That being said, the Schuylkill Haven region has a long history, and it is not uncommon to find homes for sale built in the 1890s. In general, historic properties often require upkeep and maintenance (with some renovations or updates a requirement), but the oldest homes tend to have been quite well-preserved.

Outside of the downtown area is where larger and pricier homes are listed. Schuylkill Haven as a community is rather affordable, with properties available for almost any budget, but with bigger lots sizes and square footage comes an increase in home price. A lot of these homes were built in the late-1990s and early-2000s, and make for exceptional family homes. While historic homes have a lot of unique charm, these homes offer privacy and space.
